Polaroid Digital Camera not being recognised!

I have a Polaroid Digital Camera (PDC 2050). I have installed the software provided with the camera, which seems to be installing ok but according to the instructions, it says that I need to go to my computer then click on "Removable Disk" drive. I can't find this in my computer so could not download the pictures. In addition to this the USB device (camera) is now coming up as being either (am getting lots of messages) not recognised or the drivers are not installed. Can someone help me please as I am very confused!
