pointer acting funny

Hi,

having a bit of a problem with my pointer, Some times when I hit the
left or right clicker on my laptop, the pointer goes nuts and flys off
the screen. Everytime this happens I have to wait 30 sec for it to
calm down so i can use it again. Or sometime it will move slowly by
itself without me touching anything. Why is it doing this, and how can
it be fixed????

Yes, it is a laptop. They even said so.

This has come up before in other questions , AFAIK , this is due to
sensitivity of the laptop .
