point32.exe closes automatically

Hi all,

Sorry about the cross posting, but I don't know where to
put this since it's a problem that spans a few topics.

I have the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 with Intellipoint
4.1 software. The wierd thing that happens is that
point32.exe (Intellipoint driver program) closes all by
itself for no apparent reason and with no warning or
notice. In order to get all my button settings to work
again (and the side buttons to work at all), I need to
manually restart point32.exe.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

Or... is there a way of setting a script within Windows
itself to keep point32.exe running all the time? In some
way, trick Windows into thinking that point32.exe is a
system program and will be automatically restarted if it
does close. I know that you can run these kinds of
scripts in WinTasks, but I don't want to have that
running all the time either... (I know, I'm picky).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

Did you disable the Terminal Services service?
If so, re-enable it.

Alternatively, get the newest version of the Intellipoint software for the
updated version of the point32.exe/dll files that fixes the problem (i.e.
running Intellipoint with the terminal services disabled).
