Might want to give this a try.....go to start, run and type in sfc /scannow
This is the system file checker and it should replace any modified files
with the original ones, the ones that need to be changed that is.

Colin:
I responded to you earlier today with the following:

What happens when you try to use them? Are you blocking cookies, if yes or
if some security application, firewall, antivirus is blocking turn off the
cookie blocking feature.

Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools, select Internet Options, on the General
tab click Delete Cookies, Delete Files and accept the option to delete all
offline content and click Clear History. Go to the Privacy tab, click Edit
and be sure neither your Bank nor MSN are set to block or always block, if
the are set them to allow. Click the Advanced button and set all cookies to
accept.

Have you always had this problem with MSN and your online bank. If yes,
perhaps your login information is incorrect.

For advice specific to problems with secure sites, have a look at the first
link - for general advice, have a look at the second:

http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers2.htm#secure_sites

http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers.htm#dns

I must say, given all the advice you've already received and not of it
works, you almost certainly are facing an irretrievable broken setup that
will require you to wipe the drive and start over. You are still able to
boot, you should be able to backup your data and start over if none of the
above helps.
