I started my comp and when i got to the Windows XP login screen, i couldnt
seem to type in my password. The cursor was blinking but it wasnt moving or
showing the letters i was pressing on the keyboard. So i restarted the comp
and went to the setup screen to check if the keyboard is working. It
appeared as if the keyboard isnt the problem cuz the keys worked. So i went
back into the login screen to try again but i still wasnt able to type. Does
anyone have any idea what the problem might be and how i can go about fixing
it?

Thanks sooo much!

Seems to be working now, you've posted the same message 4 times in 12 minutes under 2 different names.

You're not going to get much help if you're obnoxious and post something
multiple times, it's only likely to bring your chances of help down, you're
not being nice to them, why should they be nice to you?

Okay, now before I go on, I'd like to say that some Operating Systems, NOT
XP, but some, don't show any characters when you type in a password, so
people who are looking over your shoulder can't count the letters, and for
encryption purposes. So try typing in your keys anyway and pressing enter. If
that doesn't work, change your bootup options in setup, and see if you can
find a bootup type in which you can get by the password thing. If you can't
find one, and it turns out to be IMPOSSIBLE to find your password you can
always get an MSDOS startup floppy disk, and format and reinstall XP. Doing
that will delete EVERYTHING you have on the computer, but at least you'll
have a computer to work with rather then a bunch of files you can't access.
But this should be done as a last resort anyway.
