I am trying to fix some issues with my machine. I am trying to install some
repair software. When I click on the exe file nothing happens. When I try
through add and remove, I get a rundll32 error.

1. What are your specific issues?

2. What is the make and model of this PC and its pertinent specs?

3. What repair software are you trying to install? What is the name of
this .exe file?

4. What exactly are you trying to do through "Add or Remove Programs" (I
assume that's what you meant)? What is the complete text of the error
message?

I think some malware is winning. Maybe starting in Safe Mode would
help. It is also possible the "repair software" comes with
instructions on a web page, in which case they may explain how
best to use the software.

For example, Safe Mode is mentioned here.

"Microsoft Windows safe mode is accessed by pressing the F8 key as the operating system boots"

Exactly what software are you trying to install?

Also note that your description of the problem suggests that you are
infected with malware.

Your ignorance is showing. Had you had any knowledge or expertise in this
subject you would have recognized his symptoms and knew what his issues are
without needing more info, and you certainly would not have made a fool of
yourself by posting that link because you clearly have no understanding of
what information it contains and why. All you did was post proof that the
David Lipman troll has no idea what he his talking about. Now go back to
that link read it again and answer the question that was asked which was why
those files were deleted. I know you can't answer it because you are not
smart enough. In fact there are only a few in this NG that probably can
answer that question.
