Hello,

I am a new in Win XP embedded.

I am working on vc++6.0, my operating system Win XP Professional.
I have to develop application for Win XP embedded.
This application should create shells for Win XP embedded.
Don't know from what to start,
any help will be very appreciated.

I installed embedded vc++ 4, but I can't find it there?

Dear Pola,

1. EVC is used to create application for Windows CE.

2. Component Designer is included in Windows Embedded Studio.
You should purchase one set or download an evaluation version to
test.

Currently on my Laptop I have Win XP Pro,
Is it possible to install Windows embedded as a additional Operating system,
without distroing Win XP Professional?

Windows XP Embedded is a version of XP Pro that is broken down into over
12,000+ components. Bascially, you have to build a customize image using the
tools. You can build an XPe image so it resides on a second partition in
your laptop or you can use Virtual PC.
