Please Help

I installed the lastest Windows Update and when it was finished I restarted
my computer as directed. But when it turned back on the system was entirely
different.

The resolution will not change from the lowest settings. But the screen
images are about double the size. I can not use the internet for a long
period becuase it freezes up. Also, when the computer goes to the screen
saver it freezes and does not come back. The only way to get back on to the
computer is to restart it by holding the power button.

Also, I tried to restore the computer to a date before the update, but with
the installation, it deleted all the restore points that were previsoully in
place.

Can some one please help!

Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs --> Remove the last update you
installed.
Verify that you get hardware updates ONLY from the hardware manufacturer -
do NOT get them from windows update!
