Recently I updated to windows XP for my image creation reasons. Upon this
program being installed, I have an issue with my screen resolution. My old
screen revolution was 800x600 or the next one higher then that (Don't
remember the size off hand); but now it's stuck at 640x480. I've tried to
change it countless times now, and nothing seems to be working.

Have you tried downloading and installing the video drivers for you
video card from the manufacturer's web site?

These settings depend on your graphics controller. You need to update the
graphics driver to be compatible with Windows XP.
