PLEASE HELP!

I downloaded MSAS yesterday and ran a scan and everything
went well untill I restarted my computer like it told me
to. While my computer was in the process of shutting down
to restart , I got a really fast look of a blue screen
with some kind of writing on it. I didnt think much of
it, but when my computer was loading Microsoft 2000
Professional, it said that a file is missing. I dont get a
chance to see what it says but Windows loads and I haveto
restore my active desktop. After that everything is fine.
I was just wondering if anyone has an idea on how to fix
this problem. I do not have the system restore disk
because I bought my computer used, so I don't think thats
an option. THANK YOU AND PLEASE HELP!

Let's see if we can find out more information about what happened.

Right-click My Computer, and choose Manage.

Look in the left column for Event Viewer, and click the PLUS sign in front
of it.

Click on the System event log, and look through the list in the right pane
for log entries around the time of the blue-screen crash. You should be
able to find an entry with some explanatory details, written either just
before or just after the restart. See if you can cut and paste that
information to this message thread.

It says this..The WebSeach Toolbar support NT service
service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the path specified.

When I do get to see a little of what the error says when
I start up my computer does say something about it not
being able to find the path and to check something about a
library. This same message that I just included at the
top, is in the log five times and I have only restarted my
cpmputer one time.

That actually sounds like a good message--a piece of unwanted code
(probably!)--that has been removed from the machine, but not from the
service startup location in the registry. Sometimes a second cleaning run
with Microsoft Antispyware removes such remnants--not sure about this one,
however.

This isn't a crash error, though--so I'm not sure what's going on--you might
start your machine in safe mode and do a scan with both Microsoft
Antispyware and your antivirus program--let's see if that removes the
remnant that is putting this message in the log files.
