Ihave been trying to network my desktop and laptop computer together. I
had them working but I used a program on the laptop that uses a dongle.
When I pluged it it I lost my networking. I also lost My Network Places
listing that comes up when you click start. Can someone please help me
get My Network Places back. I have reinstalled the networking adapter
and software several times.
Thanks Bettie

You haven't told us how your home network is set up. How do you have the
desktop and laptop connected? If you are using a usb connector on the
laptop, try connecting with ethernet instead. You might also consider
contacting tech support for the program that needs a dongle. This might
be a known issue with their software and they are the ones who would
have the solution to it.

Otherwise, if you want help for the networking post back with the
missing details. It would also be useful to include what
versions/Service Pack levels the computers are running.
