PLEASE HELP, the computer has no icons or start menu

as i log in (as anyone) the computer go to a "loading
settings" screen (a blue screen after i have clicked on
who i want to log in), the computer freezes.
after pressing crl, alt and delete, my desktop is
displayed, with no icons or start menu, but with the task
menu window.
this is how i have started aol (through run new task).
i have run an antivirus and delete a few of the newer
installed programs.
yeserday there was nothing wrong with this computer as i
was on it yesterday.

please help.

If you have enabled "System Restore" I would suggest using a restore point
prior to the problem. For information on how to use "System Restore"

Start>Help and Support>System Restore (typed in the Search caption box) and
read the results.

Shane,
Start here, to turn off the system from automatically re-booting when
you have a blue screen. Go to My Computer, click on advance, start up
and recovery- settings, if automatically restart is checked, uncheck
it. This will allow you to read the BSOD error.
Have you run an antivirus program on your system yet?
Have you checked for the spyware?
They both can cause your problem.

i think i have solved the problem, on the windows task
manager i ended "sysu.exe" and then my things appeared. i
then deleted it of my system. now i have realised that i
should have asked a question, What does it do? can you
answer that? if you can please email me lol

i have found out what happened. god i should do things in
order lol. its the folder C:\Programs\ddm causing the
problem its adware so i deleted it to. problem solved
