Hi,

You have already isolated and diagnosed the problem, yet you do not wish to
accept the results? The simple answer here is that the ram is not compatible
with your system.

Wrong memory. It's not compatible.

Just because your mobo can take 400DDR it doesn't mean that the particular
make of chip you put in will work, maybe it's just a bad one.
That's just my thoughts an opinion.

Hi,

Windows is not the problem here, you have already shown that the ram sticks
are. Either they are the wrong type for your motherboard, or you have soem
settings in the bios set incorrectly. If you are adding these sticks to
existing ones, they may be incompatible with each other. In any case, the
fact remains that the ram is the problem.

Greetings --

Sounds like you've solved your own problem. Insert new RAM and
system fails. Remove new RAM and system works. Hhmmmm, I wonder what
the problem could be? Apparently you new RAM is either defective or
incompatible.

It is absolutely essential that any new RAM module(s) be fully
compatible with both the motherboard and/or any other RAM module(s)
already in the system. Additionally, there are sometimes jumper
switches on older motherboards that need to be reset for new RAM
configurations. Consult your motherboard's manual.
