Pixma IP4200 question

Syke

I would like to try printing envelopes (DL) on the above printer, but
the manual mentions envelopes which are unsuitable, which seem to the
ones I normally use. I think they're called Double Flap. These work in
my other printer (HP Deskjet 950c). Any suggestions as to a suitable
type? (In UK)

I use DL all the time, Pixma IP4000 which is similar, what prog are you
using to print from? I can only give you my settings for Word.
They print shortside into the right side of the printer with face up and
the flaps on the left (underneath). I have only done one at a time,
never tried to print a stack, I just dump one on top of the paper stack!

It's not so much the size that concerns me as the actual type of
envelope. I normally use the cassette feed for A4 paper and my idea was
to have the envelopes in the Auto Sheet Feeder so I could print, say, a
letter (in Word) and then its envelope without doing anything else.

Why on earth didnt you say all this in your original post?
Tried using thin (cheap) DL envelopes in the tray?
