PIX VPN + Authentication

Hi Guys

I need to setup a VPN Server using my PIX Firewall 500 series. I am
wondering where the authentication will take place. i only have one server
and there's no AD. Can I use my Server's local authenticaion to use for my
VPN authentication? how to use my servers local authentication to be use in
my VPN Connection?

or is there an internal PIX authentication that i can use?

Thank You

Can I use my Server's local authenticaion to use for my
VPN authentication?
Yes. you can use local 'Windows Authentication' for VPN. You can configure
for Windows Authentication in the 'Routing and Remote Access' administration
console by right click on the Properties of the server, goto Security tab
and choose Windows Authentication (and Windows Accounting).
how to use my servers local authentication to be use in
my VPN Connection?
you can create VPN Users in the 'Local Users and Groups' console and give
them the 'Dial in' access by clicking on the Properties->Dial in-> Allow
Access.
You can also choose to control access through Remote Access Policies (RAP) -
which requires you to configure RAP in 'Routing and Remote Access'
administrative console.

Thanks,
Dinesh.
