Hello,
I tried this, but to no avail. When I right click and choose "save as", OR
using the icon bar that comes up ON the picture, the "save picture" window
comes up. At the bottom of this "save picture" window are the two spaces,
one for the title of the picture, the other is the "save as" choice. In the
"save as" space, it ALWAYS says Bitmap(bmp), with no other choices in the
drop down menu.

Thanks again John. I've tried these remedies several times. It's all the
same still. The "save picture" feature is still only allowing me to save as
a BMP. If you have any more ideas, I'd appreciate them. I am able to view
pics I've saved, but they're just not in any format other than bmp.
Thanks again,
Tim Hill

Longshot...but it may be worth a try to open
a folder and go to...Tools / Folder Options /
View tab and tick, "Show Hidden Files And
Folders" / Apply / OK.

Now navigate to:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Account
Name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files...

Delete *everything* in the Temporary Internet
Files folder.

Sorry Tim, that's all I have...maybe someone
else will have some suggestions.
