Pictures with Macro's attached to it are displayed as red cross

Hello,

I am having trouble with spreadsheets with macro's in it:
in the excel sheet there are icons/pictures which have a macro attached
to it. When you click the icon/picture the macro will execute.

When the user, running Windows XP SP1 and Excel 2002 with macro security
on medium, opens the excel sheet the icons/pictures are displayed as a
red cross, just as if the picture is missing.

When I open the sheet the pictures are displayed correctly. I am runnig
Windows XP SP2 and Excel 2003. My macro security is set to high.

Any suggestions to a solutions. I have not found anything yet in the
Knowledge Base of Microsoft.

Thank you in advance,

Kind regards

J.D.,
It is not clear from your post how the user is accessing the spreadsheet. If
you have put it on a web site then I may know the answer.

From time to time I have to put workbooks on the company website so that people
on the Internet can access Inventory data. If there are pictures in the
worksheet, then I must also place a folder on the website which contains the
picture files. This folder must be in the same folder as the workbook.
Without these files, all the pictures come up as red crosses.

Hope this helps.

Val,

It should put the folder (something like "book1_files") in with the htm file
automatically when you save as htm. The images from your sheet should be in
it. The htm file has tags that point to the folder and the images in it.
If you're moving the htm file, you need to take the associated folder with
it. COuld that be it?
