Picture not showing on screen

This is weird because yesterday I was able to use MS Word 07 perfectly fine.
But today, when I tried using it, and when I try inserting pictures, the
pictures don't really show up. Instead of seeing a picture, you see a a
blank box (not a red X).

I tried browsing another Word document of mine and still see the same problem.

Tried restarting my computer and still the problem exists.

In attempt to check if I truly inserted the picture, I used PRINT PREVIEW,
and the picture shows up. How can I fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

Office Button > Word Options > Advanced > Show Document content > uncheck
'show picture placeholders'.
