Picture It! 10 and previous versions

My boyfriend has Picture It! 10 and another previous version on his computer.
He needed to install it on his laptop but the install failed because the app
was looking for Internet Explorer 5. He has IE7 on his laptop but the app
failed anyway. Is there an update or patch for this issue or has no one else
ever experienced this? Seems incredulous that the app cannot look for IE5
and above instead of just IE5. I don't even think I could find any version
of IE5 if I tried. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks, John! Your suggestion worked. Why didn't I think of that?
Now, new problem : when he opens a picture (.jpg) it appears all pixelated.
This happens to just about any picture whether it is from a digital camera
or something from the web. He said it did not happen in the past. Any
suggestions as to how to resolve this? BTW, his OS is XP Pro with all the
current updates. Thanks again!

What is the pixel size of an example picture that
appears pixelated and what is his Screen Resolution
set on?

Has he gone to the support website of the Laptop's
manufacturer and searched for an updated video
driver?

Hi again. My boyriend's screen resolution is 1024x768 and a typical photo is
330 x 373. How does the relationship between screen size and photo pixels
work together? Can you provide a brief explanation? Is there a way to modify
photos in Picture It! so they don't pixelate? He said he never before had to
modify anything to view photos. Any help you can provide is appreciated.
Thanks!

I don't know the exact details of your situation
but 330x373 is extremely low resolution...it's
possible that your digital camera has settings
for Best Quality and possible for E-Mail...

Sometimes you have a choice of maybe 50
pictures on your memory card at high resolution
and 200 at lower resolution...some users will
opt for the higher number of pictures not realizing
the that quality is greatly reduced..

If your screen size is 1024x768 that's a total pixel
count of: 786,432

Compared to your 330x373 image with a total
pixel count of: 123,090...it would take more than
six of these to equal one the size of your screen.

When you enlarge the low resoluition image...
it becomes pixelated. The solution is to have a
higher resolution original image.
