picture distortion?

I'm adding a few pics to my site. I Insert picture and then click to make it
a thumbnail so that it's smaller. Looks great, but once it's saved it looks
distorted on my live site. How do I get that to go away?

The thumbnail looks distorted once it is saved to the page. I'm not linking
the picture to anything, just having it viewed the way it is as a thumbnail.

Use an image editor such as the free IrfanView to create the thumbnail
and then use the image it creates as the thumbnail on your page.
