Pic only one 1st slide-help please

I can't figure it out. I've created a master slide with a picture for the
cover of the presentation, for the 1st slide. But when add a second slide,
third slide....they all show the picture on the first slide. How do I remove
the picture from the second slide, etc.? I've already tried adding a master
TITLE slide, apart from the master slide but nothing works. How can I remove
the picture from the second slide...sooooo frustrating. Anyway can help me
please?

Make sure you put the picture on the title master. If you don't have a title
master, then go to View | Master | Slide Master and click Insert | New Title
Master. Then insert your picture on that.

Back in Normal View, go to Format | Slide Layout. Make your first slide
layout the Title Slide Layout. Make the others whatever layout is
appropriate -- just not the Title Slide Layout, because that will have the
picture on it.
