0x0000001B the memory could not be written????


I have way more memory than is needed to run the game I
have a brand new 256 graphics card 64 athlon processor
all my drivers updated, all the patches updated for the
games. All of the games are the originals that I paid(non
hacked cd-keys) and it does this for almost all of my
games. warcraft 3, diablo 2, war of the ring.

Then when i check under the event viewer under system the
source us DCOM. When I send the data or error to
microsoft help thing. I tells me to increase the amount
of RAM installed on my computer when I have way more than
I need for running the games I do (I have 512mb 3200 RAM.)

That will be either an error from the game itself or a driver - it is
trying to write to a part of RAM which is not allowed -, or a fault in
the RAM, so that the instruction at the point indicated has been damaged

See if there is a reference in the bottom line of the blue screen to a
something.sys - that will be a driver, and you can look for it in
windows\system32\drivers and r-click. Take Properties and the Version
page will indicate what it is related to

Other than that, take the advice to check RAM with Memtest86. But if
the trouble *only* arises in this game and there is no driver shown on
the blue screen, it is most probably a fault in the game program

Jeff, back off on your Ram Timings in the Bios. Swap Ram in the slots.
