I've made a few photostories and found that every time
I made one I wanted the same missing options. I'm really
surprised that it was released as a product without them.
I can't be the only person who wants to do these things:
1. As I set the type and duration of a transition I'd like to
select "set all transitions to this duration" and a "set
all transitions to this type" checkboxes. Then I don't
need to go through that process potentially HUNDREDS
of times.
2. As I select a font color/size for text I'd like a "set as default"
checkbox so I don't have to change them potentially
HUNDREDS of times.
3. I'd like to be able to enter multiple text fields. I have full
control now over where the text appears, why not allow
multiple text fields. One at the bottom for example where I
always write Copyright me bla bla bla, and one at the top
for example where I write info about the picture. Of course
I'd need a "set this text on ALL images" to avoid potentially
having to do it HUNDREDS of times.
4. When I set duration I'd like to be able to set the length on
all images. Seeing a trend here?
These very simple UI elements would make life so much easier
when creating a photostory. Take this example which should
be really quick. I have 500 images, I want to load them all in
one go. No problem if they're in the same folder. Yaay photostory.
Now I want to set them all to be 1 second duration transition, I
now have to repeat a task 500 times, to set the transition duration.
Now I want to set them all to be a circle transition type. I have to
repeat a task 500 times manually to do this. Now I want them all
to say "copyright bla bla bla" in white at the bottom with font size
20. I have to do this manually 500 times. Now I want to set the
motion to be 'from' full size 'to' zoom-in 10%. Guess what, I have
to do this manually 500 times.
What could have been a 5 minute job to make this photostory
turns into a 5 hour job and repetitive-stress-injury doing so.
It's such a shame, photostory produces fantastic videos, I really
like them, but working with more than 20 pictures is just a nightmare.
