Holy schmole... Where's this program been? This is a nice little
photo editor. What it lacks in features it makes up for in ease of
use.

Wow! A real Once-in-a-while-discovery. Nice, very nice. I find some of the
effects easyer to do with Photofiltre then with Photoshop or Paintshop
pro....

is there a photoshop equivalent freeware?

Basically, NO.

If you are serious about photography .... NO.

If you aren't serious about photography ... NO.

Many software packages (free or otherwise) provide basic functionality if
you just want to play around. However, they still can't really be called
substitutes for PhotoShop any more than a Volkswagon Beetle can be
considered a substitute for a race-ready Porsche. Both vehicles are German,
both allow you to do basic "car things", but the former is not a substitute
for the latter.

A lot of freeware is way ahead of commercial counterparts, but sometimes
software costs money for a reason. If ever there was an example of this, it
would be PhotoShop.

Hey Mike, it's skinny too. It runs with just the 2.1 MB EXE and small
language file. Filters and brushes still work.

I would like to hear from someone with a slower computer. Is this program as
fast as it seems to be?

From the French Web page, I infer that it's open source.

This program is the find of the month!

Awwww come on Art. Don't spoil our fun.

If someone plays around with PhotoShop and uses only 75% of the features,
they can do the same thing with PhotoFiltre or PhotoPlus.

Bob,
Just curious, does it have an adjustable cropping frame?

John,

Cropping is very flexible. You can crop rectangular, round, elliptical,
triangular, etc. When you make a selection window for cropping, you can
easily move it around or stretch it before deciding on the final crop.
Outstanding!

I posted a link to my Babya Photo Workshop previously in this thread. Easy
to use, good range of basic effects and easy to use. I'll release version
2.0 soon

If anybody has used Fussy's "Babya Photo Workshop Professional"
program, please post a review here:

http://www.winsite.com/cgi-bin/Review?19000000037114

Let's get some information about this program other than the author's
word.

Oh, what's that? You want to review the program but you can't download it?

"File Not Found:
For some reason, the file you are looking for on WinSite is not here.
It could be that you have an old link, the file was replaced with a
newer version, or has been removed from the collection."

Typical. (S)he(it) will only make the program available if somebody
bitches about the link not working.

Hmm, now you can send Pixia to George W. Bush. When he plans to go to
Mars, it can give him an impression how it looks like over there.

With kind regards,

We better be cautious going to Mars. We may find AA Fussy there! :)

Fine. We're all happy. But what the hell is it?

Cheers, Phred.
