Photogallery problem -very frustrating

I am having a problem with photo galleries. I have a number of them; when I
set them
up, earlier, everything worked great. Now I they come up fine in FP2003 but
in IE the page comes up with no gallery -- just a line like:
[photogallery/photo00002920/photogallery/photo00002920/real.htm]

Also, the resulting page seems to be duplicating the table structure as
well. What I mean by this is that I have the gallery inside a table cell.
Now when the page is viewed in IE, it duplicates the page inside the cell
where only the gallery should be, and in the "inner" copy, you see the line:
[photogallery/photo00002920/photogallery/photo00002920/real.htm]
instead of the gallery.

Aren't there any MVPs out there who can help with this? I'm sure I could use
another tool to do the galleries, but if FP can do why should I add yet
another tool?

Thanks for any help...

I don't doubt what you're saying. But since I am still just learning FP, I'd
hoped to wait a bit before introducing any more tools. I was hoping that
someone would recognize the strange symptom I described and could tell me
what I needed to do to fix it.

I've now also tried setting up a new sub web and page with a gallery and
still get the same strange
"[photogallery/photo00002920/photogallery/photo00002920/real.htm]" sort of
text result instead of the gallery. Very strange. Incidentally, I can copy
the text above so that it matches the actual path to the gallery and it
comes up fine; it just won't render correctly where I want it to.

I have started looking at your site Eleanor; very impressive. A lot of
information in there, and I'll go through it as I have the time.

Thanks for the help.

Suggestions there for using something else.

You should 'add another tool' becuase the FP gallery is not a good choice
and is very buggy! It also only opens the large version of the photo onto a
blank boring 'page' of its own ... very amateurish! Take a look at JAlbum,
suggested above.

Give a serious look at JAlbum! A bit tricky though... start with the
vertical layout.
Good luck!
