photo in wrong format? How do I change it?

I am trying to get photos up, but they are coming up in some strange format,
how do I change it so I can see the photos? Also, when I plug digital camera
into pc, it won't pick up pictures, I have checked all plugs in properly.

Not really a word question but ... Start by checking what format your photos
are in. My computer Tools, Folder Options, View and check show hidden files
and folders. Take a look at the file extensions that appear on your files
and do a search on the web to find out what file type they are and what
software they need to open (do a search in google for say *.jpg or whatever).


You can then try to see if the software on your pc will open your file
formats (via help or google etc).

Has the camera come with a software CD that first needs to be loaded onto
pc...if so then that's probably the place to begin...
