Phone Numbers Missing when using Fax and Scan

R

rudysm

When using Fax and Scan program in Vista Ultimate, the contact list (when
selecting a new fax) does not show the fax numbers available, only email
addresses. I recently added a new harddrive and reinstalled Ultimate, but no
changes other than the hd swap were done, I remember prior to the change the
fax numbers would show in my contact list, but now they do not. Any ideas?

Thanks, Rudy

You neglected to mention what you are using as your default Contacts
Manager. You should also include how you migrated your data to the new hard
drive.

I am using Outlook 2007 and I started from scratch on the hard drive, clean
install. Thanks.

Then your fax numbers will appear when they are in the correct field, have a
valid format, and are resolved. Also, make sure you have configured the
Outlook Address Book correctly and have enabled the folder in which they
reside as an email address book.

Ok, so how is that done, as I don't recall changing anything when I
originally installed my OS and Office program? Thanks

1. Make sure you have entered the fax numbers in a dedicated fax field and
that the numbers resolve
2.

You did something wrong when you migrated data and configured your Outlook
profile.

I appreciate all your help Russ, problem is still the same. i did a work
around by simply entering the # manually, later when i have the time, i will
reinstall everything manually, even my contacts, to see if that was the
issue. thanks again though

Reinstalling won't help anything. Just creating a new Outlook profile,
migrating your data correctly, and then configuring the Outlook Address Book
will take care of it.
