phantom file on my web site!

When I attempted to import my site from the Internet (a computer crash
disconnected the site from FP 2000), a phantom folder showed up in the files
list. I know this because one of my web-savvy friends encouraged me to use
as few characters as possible, without spaces, to name FP files; this name is
much longer with spaces, also starting with "#", something I never use.
(This may be related to the phantom email address that appeared in my email
list at the web host site.) Upon importing, this "#" folder was the first
item to appear, and it wouldn't allow FP to "turn off" from the Internet once
all the files were imported. Has some hacker attacked my site, using it for
his own purposes? I called the web host for help, but the fellow there
couldn't find the phantom folder in my site on his end. What's going on?

So, I have two questions:
1. How do I get rid of this phantom file? (I am hoping that simply
re-publishing will mean that FP2000 will ask me if I want to delete it, but
before I can re-publish....)
2. How do I import my site to my computer while retaining the shared
borders? They didn't come along for the ride when I imported.

Thanks,

Sounds like you need to have your host run a Trojan / virus scan on your domain account.
