mourning folks

if you fine folks are tired of all my questions just
let me know.

been having problems with my comp. and thought this
might be part of problem.

in my event viewer at log in i get the message below:

PFModNT service failed to start due to following error:
the system cannot find the file specified.

i have been to MS site , but the more this old mans
reads , the more i get confused. if some one could tell
me anything i could do i would appreciate it

Hi,

I find a few references to that problem being related to the old
Soundblaster PCI128 card. Do you have one of these? If so, start/run
services.msc, do you see this service listed?

thanks much for your reply no i do not have a PCI 128
card. the only card that has been in here is the one i
got now: creative SB Audigy 2 ZS.

do not have it in the services.msc. if you can think
of anything else i could try please let me know.

I would still try a driver update.

What sort of problems have you been having and why do you think they are
related? The error message may mean nothing.
