im trying to delete a file from my desktop but keep getting the message that
it is being used by another person or program, i am sure it isnt. I am aware
that this is probebly a virus of some kind even though ive had 2 anti virus
progs check it out and they cant find a virus.
ive tried booting in safe mode as ive read in the forum this has helped in
1 case but this wont go away .
the next solution for me is to reformat the drive.
any ideas from the lovely people out there ?
thanks

Try to delete it in safe mode First, if you can't then download this tool:

Get OH.exe or Process Explorer from the Microsoft site and you will be
able to find out which program or process has an open handle on the
file. You can use Task Manager and kill Explorer.exe and its child
processes and then see if you can delete the file from the Command
Prompt while Explorer.exe is asleep. Once done simply restart
Explorer.exe from the Task Manager.
