Hi all,
I am experiencing some very strange and frustrating behaviour with Internet
Explorer 6 on Windows XP Service Pack 1.
Whenever I go to a site that tries to install or run an ActiveX control
(such as the link below) I get the error 'Your current security settings
prohibit the running of ActiveX controls on this page, as a result it may
not display properly'.
http://transfers.one.microsoft.com/ftm/LaunchFTM.aspx
I have set all my Internet Explorer Security Zones as low as they will go,
disabled the firewall, enabled ActiveX controls, added the site to my
trusted zones, and scanned my computer for Adware. All to no avail.
Also, when I download a file for program from a site and choose 'Open' (Run
from current location) the file downloads but nothing happens.
What is wrong here?
Chris
