Personal Folders shut down . . .

Tina

When I leave Outlook open, but "switch user" on XP Pro
and someone else in my family signs in, my Personal
Folders become inaccessable to me. The following message
appears in the "Notes" section (messages appear in mail,
calendar, task, etc., but i can't copy/paste them):

"Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook
could not access the specified folder location. Another
application closed unexpectedly while using your Personal
Folders file 'C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\mailbox.pst'.
To prevent potential damage to your Personal Folders
file, it will not be available until you close all
applications currently using it."

This has been happening for months. To remedy it, i have
to log-off and sign back on. How can i fix this???

Thanks,
Tina

You have to be logged on as the correct user to access your Outlook profile.
Why do you think this is a problem? Windows profiles control what you have
access to.

It's not that anyone else can actually see or use my
personal folders, it is that when i log back on thru XP
Users, i can no longer access my own folders (in mail,
calendar, notes, etc.)--they've been closed down
to "protect" them, and i have to log-off and then log
back on to remedy it.

I am wondering how to prevent this in the first place.

Thanks.
Tina
