personal address book cannot be opened

I keep getting this error when opening outlook. The error
crashes outlook and I cannot get into it. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled once already.

Here is the exact error:
"Your personal address book cannot be opened. The file is
either not accessable or is not a personal address book.
Click retry...click cancel..."

and when I click cancel it exits the application. Anyone
have a clue?

What version of Outlook? Do you have the Outlook Address Book service
installed? Personal Address Books have not been used since Outlook 2002.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, jrk asked:

Right click on outlook icon, go to properties, under
services look for personal folder, highlight it and click
remove.
