Permission with 2 home computers

I have 2 home computers. Both have Windows XP Home. I have been able to get
the remote desktop going thru MSN Messenger. These 2 computers are networked
wirelessly. To connect remotly I have to go the upstairs computer and
"invite" my other computer to access remotly. Then go back down stairs and
accept the invite. This all works good. But it defeats my purpose of remotly
connecting. Can I access my upstairs computer remotly without having to go
upstairs every time to set up the invite? Thanks

Your talking about Remote Assistance and yes there is a easier way for you
to do this without using Messenger in a SoHo environment.

Note that the Novice (ie. your mother) has to give you (ie. the Expert)
permission to both view and take control of her screen. That is by design as
a security precaution.

Another alternative is UltraVNC. Get the server, client, encryption plug-in
and XP video driver (installed on the server only) from. Call her PC using
its static LAN IP address.
