Permission settings

Hi all,
I am having a question about setting access permission for users via Active
Directory (AD).
For example if we have a distribution list or a mail-enabled group, one can
control who has the right to send mail messages to the member of this group
(via the Message Restriction in the properties under the Exchange General
tab).

However is there any way to set up permission(s) to control access to these
distribution list or mail-enabled group, or even individual user? For
example, some of the AD users can read the distribution list and see the
members in it, but others can't.
Can this be done in AD? If not, is there any tool that can do similar thing?
Thx in a million.

Sure. in 2003 in AD Users and Computer Select to view advanced features.
Then right click on your DL and goto properties. under the security TAB you
can add a group and deny the Send To permission.

NOW sometimes it takes a bit for exchange to update. But the users that have
SEND TO denied will not see that DL.

Just tested this the other day for another reason
