Permanently hiding icons...

Guest

I am trying to get rid of the Wireless Network Connection icons in my
taskbar. I go to Taskbar properties and click Customize. I change the
Wireless Network Connection items from "Hide when inactive" to "Always hide"
then I click "OK", then "Apply", then "OK". The icons go away for a little
while, but then re-appear every time. I do this several times per day, to no
avail.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Doug

only until you need to use one of the other ones, go into network
connections, right click each one, and hit disable..........this is the
only way I was able to fix the problem you have :)

Then if you go into Customize and hide, it should work for you, as well
:)

Try this: Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
connections >> Double click Network Connections.
There on the Wireless Icon right click and select Properties, on the
Properties under general tab there two Check boxes at the Bottom of the
window:
[ ] Show Icon in Notification area when connected
[ ] Show Icon on Notification area when there is limited or no
Connectivity .
Uncheck those two boxes and click [OK].
Does this help.
