Permanently deleting files in the C:\Recycler folder

I would like to delete the files in that are in the C:\Recycler folder. (A
hidden system file) These files are created when I empty my Recycle Bin. Does
anyone know how to do this? I can restore these files with a file restoration
program, and I want them permanently gone so that they can't be restored by a
file restoration program. Why I try to delete them, I can't, but there must
be some way of wiping them off my disk for good. Thanks in advance for any
and all replys.

There are dozens of programs, available, that will do exactly what you want.

For example, have a look at:

http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/security/fwcookie.html

http://www.snapfiles.com/Shareware/security/swcookie.html

Thanks for your post. I looked into the websites you suggested, but can't
find a program that will delete files from the Recycler folder. Many of the
programs will delete files from the Recycle bin, but not from the C:\Recycler
folder...or did I miss one that will work?

A good number of programs allow you to add the files/folders of your choice,
to be included in "secure wipes."

Give some of the freeware programs a shot, or download a few trial shareware
programs.

This is free. I use it for both restoration and the opposite.

Restoration Version 2.5.14 Author: Brian Kato

[[Restore files which are deleted from the recycle bin or deleted while
holding down the Shift key by mistake. Conversely, this program has another
function that makes it almost impossible to restore all deleted files. You
can use it after deletion of confidential documents, embarrassing files and
so on.]]

Thanks to all who posted...I "got er done"

Even though windows explorer showed that the files in the C:\Recycler folder
had 0KB of data, they actually had over 4 Gigs of recycled stuff in them. I
had to change the file permissions to get at all of them, and once that was
done, I deleted them into the recycle bin, and used file eraser to wipe them
out for good. In the future, I will erase files with "Eraser", and then I
won't have to worry about this file building up like it did.

Thanks again for everyone's help!!!
