permanently delete

How to PERMANENTLY delete emails in my inbox wit an IMAP account? In outlook
Express its so simple, just press delete and then Permanently Delete, thats
all.
But ! in Outlook 2003, I cannot delete emails permanently, they keep grey in
my inbox.

It must be so simple but it isn't ! Anyone a solution?

You can't. After deleting messages, you must click Edit>Purge Deleted
Messages. However, you can always click View>Arrange By>Current View>Hide
Messages Marked for Deletion and then they'll disappear when you click
Delete.
