performance of My PC has gone down

Dear all,
My system performance has gone down. I cleaned the
registry, carried out defragmentation of hard disk. I
removed spyware. But still my PC is not as fast as when I
installed. How to find out which actually creating the problem.

Are you using some sort of benchmarking program to verify the "speed
reduction? Most likely there is some "reduction" in speed due to the
addition of programs, antivirus, firewall etc. by the operator.

What are you basing the claim of perfomance reduction on? If you return
the system to exactly the same condition as when you received it, will
it go faster?
