Peer to Peer

Similar prblm as a previous posting by Rob. I an new to
Win 2K. My network consists of the 2K unit connected to my
98 unit. I am using a router. 2K can work with 98 fine but
when trying to connect to the 2K unit from the 98, a
window appears requiring a password to connect to the
resourse. I have set full access permissions yet to
everyone but I still get \\desktop\ipc$ requires password.
Any suggestions to reset to not require a password??

Two options:
1. Activate the guest account (not recommended due to security
implications)
2. Preferred option, create an identical user account (same
username/password) on both computers then log into the win98 computer with
this account.
Oh yes, Option 3..get a server version of windows and create a domain where
Domain users are managed by the server.
