hey guys , got a problem i just cant seem to get my head round
........few weeks ago i tryed to connect to soulseek and was greeted
with "could not connect to server , internet connection may be up or
timed out please try again later " , tryed re-installin but still
nothing.....decide to try other p2p , downloaded direct connect , set
everything up , but when tryin to connect to hubs .....nothing
!...........so i tryed bit torrent ......still nothing.......cant seem
to connect to any p2p at all and its doin my head in .....i need to
download !...........i am running windows xp with a cable
modem......dont have any firewalls up that i know of ( is there anyway
i can check this for sure?) tryed simple things like using msconfig to
shut down everything but basics....and still nothing would connect
.....this is really frustrating me as it has just happened one day and
i really depend on my p2p.....any suggestions would be appreciated
greatly .....cheers guys

Create a separate folder for HijackThis, such as C:\HijackThis - copy the
downloaded file there. Create a separate folder for the two TrendMicro files,
such as C:\TrendMicro - copy the downloaded files there (unzipped if necessary).
AdAware, CWShredder, and Spybot S&D have install routines - run them. The other
downloaded programs can be copied into, and run from, any convenient folder.
First, run Stinger. Have it remove any problems found.
Next, close all Internet Explorer and Outlook windows, and run CWShredder. Have
it fix all problems found.
Next, disable System Restore.
