Is there a free pdf viewer/reader other than Adobe Acrobat, which has
gotten very bloated and slow over the years? I'd like to use something
else besides Acrobat...

There sure is. I've recently taken Acrobat off my machine entirely in
favour of Brava Reader -- it does everything I want (and loads up in a
flash).

It's at http://www.bravaviewer.com/reader.htm.

Yes, I decided to go with Foxit. I liked it the best. Simple, fast and
it works.. I was getting tired of the monster Acrobat downloads and
bloat. This is a much better solution that works for me..

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions..

From an older modem program I installed Adobe 3.01! Not bloated
and it does all I need from pdf. So how about checking some of those
old program CD's? Sometimes they have some nifty little programs ...
more so in the past than now.... even the dreaded AOL 'freebies' in
the past sometimes had other little programs...mostly though, I got mine
from older modem install software. I have Adobe 3.01 and 4.0 and
REFUSE to UPgrade...and I'm not nagged about it. So I think I'll just
let well enough alone for now.

BTW, I'm not suggesting that one illegally acquire these programs, I'm
only suggesting that perhaps you already have a program that does for
you what you are searching for one to do.

You can get even older versions of Acrobat here:
