Vista has a 4GB limitation for RAM. The operating system reserves some of
this RAM, allowing a maximum of 3.3GB to be usable by the rest of the
system. Out of this 3.3GB, it may also subtract out memory that is needed
for soundcards and other devices in the system. That's my understanding at
least. Search for "4GB RAM Vista" on Google. This is a good article -

What is the meaning or it is normal if the Vista PC has 4G of Ram and Vista
only recognizes 2..8.
