pccload.dll

I'm trying to install some older software application from a CD-R and get
the following message get the following error message:

"This application has failed to start because ppcload.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

This CD is to install software on a PDA which is connected to the desktop
via MS ActiveSync. This is a long-standing set up, have installed dozens of
applications over the last few years ... so I know that the
connection/partnership works.

Has anyone come across something like this? TIA for your help.

Actually, AS was installed all along but by old clunker PDA didn't like the
new version. I had to un-install the latest version of AS, remove the
\Program Files\Microsoft Active Sync and the c:\Program Files\Common
Filews\Microsoft Shared\NoteSync Forms directories; and delete files
rapi.dll and ceutil.dll from the C:\Windows\System32 directory. Rebootoed
and installed ActiveSync 3.8 ...and everything is working like a charm.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Bob I. Sorry if I took so long to get back to this group. I was using
Version 4.2 of ActiveSync. I
ended up un-installing it and installing v. 3.8 and everything is now
working like a charm.
Old PDA = Old version of AS. ;-)

Thanks!

You're welcome, not to worry about time, just glad to help you sort the
issue.
