Hello everybody. I need some help/support on the sbj, Please.

I have a PC: Pentium4 - 2.8GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB drive, Windows XP Home edition

Five moths ago I used DriveImage.xml (freee software) to back up my C drive
(just in case I would have needed in the future)
I was able to do a full BACKUP and RESTORE it on a 160GB drive: NO PROBLEM.
I then obtained two drives different sizes but same software and both
bootable and usable for Windows XP and all the installed applications.
I then kept only the 120GB as C drive and left the 160GB (off) aside to be
used just in case.
As the time passed by the software on the 120GB changed/improved so wanted
to create a new backup on the 160GB.

I then formatted the 160GB drive and performed the exact same procedure as
five months ago (following the tutorial on YOUTUBE to back up and did a
restore then), but this time was not able to get the same result.
I was able to back up and restore, but the 160GB drive cannot boot up to
windows anymore; it hangs at the "Starting Windows XP screen" and do not get
up to the "Windows XP account prompt screen". No message, nothing.
This happen also when booting in a safe mode. The image is on the 160GB
drive.

Does anyone have any idea on what is missing? or why Windows will not boot
up to the Windows XP Account prompt screen?

Ciao and thanks for your support anyway.

We can't help you with DriveImage.xml software. This newsgroup knows
about Windows XP. Try DriveImage.xml technical support.

Thanks for the support anyway. I was able to fix it by changing the DISK ID
using DriveImage.xml software: tools>Change DiskID
Now the 160Gb restore drive Boots OK.
Ciao and thanks.
