PC volume control within a PP slide

On Sunday at church I run PowerPoint shows from different sources - I receive
them on Sunday mornings without time to tweak them myself. The problem is
that each PowerPoint show contains music all recorded at different levels.

I was wondering if there was some way to control the PC's volume within
PowerPoint. Some way to adjust the volume without having to jump out of
PowerPoint - adjust the volume - then get back into PP? Any suggestions?

It would be possible to create a trap that captured the 'Key Press' system
event and told the OS to adjust the volume. Its not really a beginner
project, do you have any experience with VBA?

There is available an existing add-in that allows you to set the volume for
each slide, but I believe that it requires the level to be set prior to the
slide being shown. Check out:
