I have a huge problem
My PC keeps powering off and restarting on it's own. I might be abl

I have even reassemble the system from scratch of the motherboard jus

-1GB RA
-128MB Video Memor
-160GB Hard Drive which has Windows XP and 2 partitions, only C driv
has OS
-400 Watt Power Suppl
-About 3 cooling fans though out the chassi

Have anyone ever experienced this problem? Or can some one please hel
me to resolve this issue

Thank you in advance

Sounds like a classic case of an overheating processor combined with a bios
that is configured to power the system up if AC is present....

Hi
Thank you for that response
What do you recommend me doing?
The computer is in a living room with no air conditioner present. I'
living in a tropical country with about 30 degrees celcius

Please let me know your recommendations, what should I buy, add o
minus from the system

Thank you in advance

That should still be OK. First, check your fans. The CPU
fan may have stopped. Second, check your airvents. They can
become clogged with dust/fibers. Finally, make sure your
PC gets fresh air and has clear exhaust paths. No carpet
blocking low intake ports. No cabinets!

Also make sure the heatsink has good contact with the CPU and while
you are at it, remove old thermal grease and/or conductive pad and
apply some fresh grease.

Try to run it with case cover off - should help if it becomes marginal
only during Summer time.

Yup - on a Dell I looked at it was bulging Nichicon capacitors.
