I get the following error message.
Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 bf8999ee, parameter3
f18eab78, parameter4 00000000.
I have re-installed windows and upgraded to SP2.
My PC behaved ok until about a month ago, when it started crashing, in
general with an error report saying 'Error caused by Graphics driver'.
I've got a mini-dump from the Event Viewer which may be useful.
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000008e
(0xc0000005, 0xbf8999ee, 0xf1954b60, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in:
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini041905-02.dmp.
I can email this to anyone interested.
My machine is a Packard Bell IEXTREME9050
Pentium4 2.2 Ghz
512mb DDR
nVidia Geforce 4MX 440 64MB Graphics card
Columbia motherboard.
I have run hard drive and memory checks which report no errors.
I installed the latest drivers for the Grpahics card after the re-build and
started getting the errors. I rolled back drivers one or two versions until
things seemed stable.
Unfortunately its happening again now.
I hope someone can assist me as i am really at the limits of my ability to
sort this out
