unable to install or uninstall -due to Win 2000 installed
twice on pc. Its reading to Win Nt and Win 2000.

What avenue's do I have other then reformating the
harddrive. Im not able to uninstall either operating sys.

Which interrupts my antivirus from scanning. The problem
could be a virus. Im not for sure

Is it possible to go through DOS to find a path to
uninstall

Thanks
Sandy

There's no "uninstall" for an operating system. Think about it, when
it was uninstalled, how would you know? Nothing's running to tell
you... :)

You either replace/upgrade it, or wipe the partition (or drive).

.

This is easy stuff - no need to re-install anything:

1. Boot the machine into the OS you do not want.
2. Start a Command Prompt.
3. Type this: set systemroot
4. Make a note of the folder name. Let's assume it is c:\Windows.
5. Boot the machine into the OS you wish to keep.
6. Rename c:\Windows to c:\Windows.bad
7. Run the machine for a few days.
8. If all is well, delete c:\Windows.bad
9. Edit the hidden file c:\boot.ini and remove the references
to c:\Windows.

That's all!
