Pausing a presentation

I have a presentation that has transition in it. The presenter may want to
pause the presentation in the midst of the transistion to answer a question.
He would then want to start it up from the last slide. How would he pause
the transistion?

Since most transitions happen in less than 2 seconds, your presenter would
have to be quick to stop the show during a transition.

To blank the screen, for a pause or discussion, press
B or PERIOD to Display a black screen, or return to the slide show from
a black screen.

The slide show is suspended, including timings /transitions untl the B key
is pressed again, or until any other key is pressed.

I guess by transition you really mean animation. As Tom says B or W (or in
other languages the first letter of Black and White eg in France N for Noir B
for Blanc) will stop with a black or white screen. To keep the screen on and
stop press the "S" key
